These Autumn trees are full of witchcraft
and old ways.The lights dimmed now at
either side of this brief stage enable
things to mingle with streams of thought
emerging at the edge of vision unformed
but evolving , substantiated by light
and encouraged by a gathering of leaves
before endless night claws them back exhausted.
